Ms. Nelson-Lastra is running for re-election to her current seat. A graduate of the University of Texas she’s been a Cape resident since 2008. Jennifer recently stepped down after serving for several years as the executive director for Dress for Success SW FL, a non-profit dedicated to assisting women entering and re-entering the workforce and is currently consulting for the RYAN Healing Center, a residential faith-based recovery program for women and their children. Her top five priorities are lowering taxes, smart development, clean water, public safety, and enhancing green space.
